Use the "Open Configuration XL" button on the toolbar to load the spreadsheet. Information from the sheet is then processed and displayed in either tabular and graphical form.
-

The graphical model can then be directly modified from within Gander. This allows fine tuning of the infrastructure, or even building the infrastructure from scratch from within Gander (Will be available in subsequent releases).
-
Select Scope of Audit and Execute
After clicking the next button at the top right, Gander enters Phase 2 - configuring the scope of the audit. Using the infrastructure checkbox tree in the left hand pane, select systems to be audited through the various dimensions. Click "Next" in the top right of the screen. In the following screen, click the "Begin Audit" button in the toolbar to launch the audit.
- Enter Reporting Phase Gander will report back through a dialog box when the audit is complete. Click "Next" in the top right corner to enter the reporting phase.
Viewing Audit Results
In the reporting phase, various reports are available through the toolbar buttons. Clicking on these buttons initiates workflows to generate the appropriate report format. The generated reports can be viewed in the "reports" subdirectory (Word, pdf and Visio reports available in subsequent releases). An experimental baseline reporting tool button is included, in which the user first selects a base machine, and then selects a number of systems which should be similar. Gander will then generate a report highlighting any differences between the baseline and the slected machines.
